Hi there, and welcome to The Dealers Diary, my musings on the cannabis industry, California, and building Halara.
In today's entry: I flew to Mexico City to watch us lose | the crewneck is finally up | two songs that had the whole bar going
The Dealers Desk
Hey Dealers,
I just got back from Mexico City, and I'm still a little wrecked, in more ways than one.
I went down for the game. Caught up with Isaac and Daniel, two of the guys who run our Southern California territory and two of my favorite people to share a beer with. We ate too much, drank a little more than we should have, and crammed into a packed bar to watch USA play.
We lost. And I'm not going to pretend two grown men didn't get a little misty in a bar in Mexico City over a soccer game. We did. In our defense, the room was electric, and there's something about watching a match surrounded by a few hundred people who care that much that gets you whether your team wins or not.

The bar right before kickoff. That energy does not translate to a phone screen, but I tried.

Isaac and Daniel (and the rest of the table). The Southern California crew, doing what they do best.
Anyway. I'm back, mostly recovered, and I brought something home for you.
The Crewneck Is Up
We've been sitting on this one for a while, and it's finally live.
It's the first drop from Sota, our apparel side. A heavyweight crewneck in forest green, 420g French terry, thick and heavy and the kind that actually gets better the more you beat it up. The logo is embroidered right into the fabric, not that cheap vinyl print that cracks and peels off after a few washes.

The forest green heavyweight. Embroidered, not printed.
Here's how I know it lands: the first day I wore this thing out in Humboldt, I shit you not, 22 people asked me where they could buy it. In one day. I stopped keeping count after that.
It's a pre-order (first run, ships August into September), and I wanted Dealers to get first crack before it goes anywhere else. Use code DEALERS at checkout for 10% off, and shipping's free if you grab two or more. Get yours today.
My Munchies
I've been gorging myself on street tacos down here that cost under a dollar each, which is going to ruin me for taco trucks back home. I can't exactly bring those with me, but the next best thing is making it myself. Here's a fajita recipe that's genuinely easy to pull off at home when the craving hits:
P.S - My Weekly Bops
P.S. I heard these two had the entire bar going before kickoff. I cannot stress how hard these go play them and picture yourself rooting for the Mexican national team at the same time
